August 1, 2014 – Senior Partner David Wood announced the appointment of the ChinaCare Group as principal advisors to a new international hospital project in Shenzhen, China sponsored by a leading pharmaceutical company. The engagement will occur over a 12-month period and involve strategic planning, market research and financial forecasts for this 500-bed project.
On April 13, 2012, the Ministry of Health released the draft Measures for the Administration of Sino-Foreign Equity/Cooperative Medical Institutions. These DRAFT measures impact a number of areas involving foreign investment in healthcare in China. The total investment must not be less than RMB 100 million or RMB 50 million for projects in central and western China. The maximum term for JV medical institutions will be 30 years up from 20 years previously. Of particular importance is the restatement of existing policy which limits or restricts non-profit Chinese institutions from establishing for-profit joint-venture institutions. The ChinaCare Group announced today the signing of an engagement with Beijing-based CMS Clinic, a leader in the field of anti-aging and cosmetic surgery. Effective March 1, 2012, CCG will provide management and strategic services to the facility.

David Wood, Senior Partner of the ChinaCare Group, announced on March 8, 2012, that CCG had ended its contract with the Bosheng Group for management of the Harmonicare Hospital in Beijing. “Given the new strategic direction taken by the Bosheng Group, we believe it is best that CCG no longer be responsible for the day-to-day management of the hospital,” said David Wood.
