The Ministry of Health of the People*s Republic of China Provided a two-day training program to 150 Chinese hospital executives; advised on development of in vitro fertilization centers and other activities. Co-hosted a series of training programs with international department.

Peking University International Hospital 每 Creation of a full and complete English-language business plan for a 2,400 bed tertiary care hospital with six affiliated specialty hospitals associated with the 2008 Olympic Games. Served as principal healthcare advisor to the effort.

Beijing-Toronto International Hospital 每
Performed a number of focused reviews, evaluations and consultations for this incomplete hospital project. The range of reviews was extensive and included staffing (medical and non-medical), strategic planning, short-range tactical planning, market analysis, governance, administrative structure, physical space planning, short-term forecast of revenues and expense, an assessment of development costs and others.

Beijing Intech Eye Hospital 每 Provided outsourced insurance billing and claims management services. Assessed marketing opportunities and provided assistance in developing expatriate focused programs.

TEDA Cardiovascular Hospital 每 Introduction and marketing of its medical and surgical services to American and European patients. Designed program, assessed market opportunities and guided hospital decision-makers in implementation.

Cedars-Sinai Medical Center 每 Development and implementation of a brand building and patient referral campaign in China for one of the largest not-for-profit medical centers in the United States. This campaign include: market survey, focused advertising, coordination of promotion events, and design of all advertising and coordination of advertising agency activities, establishing strategic partnership with well respected Chinese healthcare organizations. Conducted five physician seminar programs providing all event planning and development.

BUPA Health Insurance 每 Provided a comprehensive market research report evaluating the supply of private health care services in China in order to evaluate the market for private health insurance. Developed long-term strategic recommendations for Board of Directors.

Bumrungrad International Hospital 每 Advisory services and regulatory review for its venture projects in China including the development of a feasibility study and business plan for a private, for-profit, hospital in Shanghai and the regulatory impact for a proposed acquisition in Beijing.

Beijing International Heart Hospital 每 Assessed legal and regulatory process for change of ownership and structure associated with sale of facility. Performed preliminary due diligence review.

Beijing Fu Wai Cardiovascular Hospital 每 Provided a three-day hospital management training course to the middle management team of the hospital. Assessed and made recommendations for improved middle management effectiveness.

Peking Union Medical College 每 Business evaluation and assessment of proposed ventures. On-going advisory role on feasibility and impact of business development activities including site reviews, business plan editing and other activities.

Salus Surgical Centers 每 Complete feasibility study, market survey and business plan for a proposed chain of 5 ambulatory surgery centers in the PRC. The engagement included identification of a Chinese partner meeting the requirements of general partner, detailed strategic planning, staffing, programmatic evaluation, market strategic plan and governmental relations including licensure. The investor is a United States-based chain of highly successful ambulatory surgery centers.

American Cancer Centers 每 Developed feasibility review and government relations assessment for a proposed chain of 10 comprehensive cancer centers proposed by a United States-based chain of cancer centers. Assisted in government relations at the national level.

University of California, Los Angeles, School of Public Health 每 Introduced its education programs into China by identifying Chinese partners, coordination of program management and marketing of its programs.

University of Colorado, Denver, School of Healthcare Management 每 Introduced its education programs into China by identifying Chinese partners, coordination of program management and marketing of its programs.

VAMED Group 每 Provided a comprehensive market research of Chinese healthcare system associated with the proposed introduction of its services in China, conducted interviews of key industry leaders; prepared an evaluation of the prospects for its business model in China and provided strategic recommendations on the implementation strategy.

New Century International Children*s Hospital 每 Provided contract management of this 104-bed international hospital. Led commissioning team; developed work flows, hired staff, coordinated all aspects of opening of the facility. Led hospital to profitability in 13-months.

German Medical Supply, Ltd. 每 Conducted a thorough review of the disposable medical supply industry in China identifying and evaluating over 500 suppliers regarding their business model, products, market penetration and production capacity to assist client in identifying potential Chinese partners.

Healthcare Financial Management Association 每 Developed, coordinated and conducted six financial management seminars for Chinese hospital executives including full event planning services in Beijing and Shanghai.

World Link Hospital and Clinics 每 Provided advisory services for this Shanghai-based international clinic for its merger and acquisition ventures in other Chinese cities. Identified potential investment opportunities, performed preliminary reviews, coordinated meetings.

Du*s Trading Company, Ltd. 每 Developed feasibility study of its international hospital project in Shanghai which include a review of Chinese healthcare system, evaluation of Shanghai healthcare market, supply and needs analysis, marketing strategy based on survey of target consumer groups, and five-year financial forecasts based on three different scenarios, review of related laws and regulations, and assisted in project financing.

e*BC Health Ventures 每 Provided advisory services to its overall strategies in China and conducted a feasibility study of one specific acquisition project in China.

iSoft Corporation 每 Provided technical support for hospital information system sales in China; conducted training programs; assessed potential clients and promoted product.

Zhengzhou International Maternity Hospital 每 Complete responsibility for oversight of the planning, design, construction and opening of a 150-bed maternity hospital to include all policies and procedures, marketing campaign, work flows, recruitment of medical and non-medical staff, strategic plan development, financial management including full budget, creation of financial records, capital records and all related reporting.

Bayley and Jackson Clinic 每 Conducted business assessment and prepared strategic assessment for future activities including sale or merger of business.

Vital Therapies, Inc. 每 Conducted an in-depth market research review to determine the feasibility, scale and anticipated financial returns associated with the introduction of the company*s product, an artificial liver technology, into the Chinese healthcare marketplace. Recommended business strategy and proposed business models for consideration by the board of directors. Assisted company in meetings with potential investors.

Sino-German Friendship Hospital 每 Assisted this joint-venture project of Siemens Medical Ventures, Asklepios Healthcare and Tongji University in its planning for the creation of a new international hospital in Shanghai. Developed business plan, conducted market research and prepared long-range financial analysis.

People*s Liberation Army Hospital, Fuzhou 每 Prepared a bilingual business plan suitable for both Chinese and foreign investors associated with the creation of a $150 million proton therapy center.
