A Healthcare Financial Management Training was held in Beijing on November 09~10, 2005, in The Taiwan Hotel. The Training is sponsored by Chinese Hospital Association, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences Peking Union Medical Exchange Center, Healthcare Financial Management Association of the Untied States (HFMA) and the University of California School of Public Health. The coordinator for the training is the ChinaCare Group, a Beijing-based international healthcare consulting firm.
The speakers for the Training are Gao Juzhong, Associate Secretary-General of Chinese Hospital Management Association, Zhou Shenglai, Vice President of Beijing Anzhen Hospital, Richard Clarke, President of HFMA, Steven Berger, President of Healthcare Insights and David Wood, President of the ChinaCare Group. The training covered topics of interest to hospital financial managers including differences between Chinese hospitals and the international Model, financial administration, hospital financing management on equipment purchase, supply chain management, cost center, operational budgeting, pricing and reporting and performance based compensation. Over 80 health professionals from hospitals in China attend the training.
President Gao Juzhong, Associate Secretary-General of Chinese Hospital Management Association, said, ¡°It is a great opportunity to hear and learn how Hospitals operate in the United States, especially in areas how hospitals finance being managed.¡±
