Leading United States Hospital and Xinhua Hospital Hold Conference on Pediatric Surgery


SHANGHAI, PR China. – May 17, 2005 –

A symposium on ˇ°Advances in Pediatric Surgeryˇ± will be held jointly by Cedars-Sinai Medical Center of Los Angeles, California and Xinhua Hospital affiliated to Shanghai Second Medical University at the Westin Shanghai on May 17 th 2005. Dr. Steve Chi-Long Chen, Dr. Gregory Paul Fontana and Dr. Moise Danielpour of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center as well as Prof. Jinfen Liu from Shanghai Xinhua Hospital will be giving lectures on new developments in pediatric neurosurgery, pediatric thoracic surgery, pediatric cardiac surgery, surgical treatment for children's tetralogy of fallot. Hundreds of well-known pediatric experts and professors will be invited to the Seminar for academic exchanges and discussions. The symposium is the third professional academic exchange held by Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in China since May 2004.

Dr. Jinfen Liu, the Vice-Director of Xin Hua Hospital and the Director of Shanghai Children's Medical Center, will make a presentation at the conference on Surgical Treatment for Children's Tetralogy of Fallot.
